Diethanolisopropanolamine or DEIPA is a brand new type of cement additives/grinding aid raw material with outstanding test and usage result.

DEIPA has a high compatibility  along with Triethanolamine (TEA), Triisopropanolamine (TIPA), Alcohol, Amine and fat. During the process of producing an additive, DEIPA can be used by  itself or with other materials. Depending on the quality of the cement raw  materials, using DEIPA as the core raw material in additives will significantly increase the early and late strength of the cement. The cement additive made from DEIPA can increase both the 3 day strength and increasing  the 28 day strength.

During actual usage however, if  the compatibility with other materials are high, early strength can reach a point where it is greater than Triethanolamine. But usually, the early strength is slightly lower than TEA.

But the late strength is significantly increased, usually greater than Triisopropanolamine.

Application

1. Cement grinding aid
DEIPA, as an environmentally friendly grinding aid, can increase the hourly output and specific surface area of cement mills, enhance early and late strength, and especially stimulate the activity of fly ash, slag and other mixed materials.
2. Surfactant
Its polar molecular structure is suitable for surfactant raw materials in the fields of pigments, medicine, building materials, etc., and can also be used as fiber antistatic agent, dyeing auxiliary agent, etc.
3. Gas purification
It is used as an absorbent for acidic gases (such as H, S, CO,) and is suitable for industrial gas desulfurization and decarbonization processes.
4. Concrete admixtures are used as retarders and water reducers to improve the working performance of concrete, reduce moisture content and extend initial setting time.

Chemical features and safety

DEIPA is a low-toxic alcohol amine fine chemical product, which is irritating to the eyes and skin, and irritating to the digestive tract if inhaled. It has a high flash point, is non-explosive, and has a higher density than water. In case of fire, it can be extinguished with foam, dry powder, water, carbon dioxide, etc.
 

Usage & Precautions:

  This product can be used alone or in combination with triethanolamine, triisopropanolamine and other alcohols, amines and esters. The recommended dosage is 0.005~0.015% of cement. The actual dosage is recommended to be determined by the customer according to the specific situation.
