Bentonite powder
Product Information
Bentonite, also known as bentonite, bentonite, or bentonite, is a type of clay or claystone primarily composed of montmorillonite.
1. According to color, it can be divided into gray white, brown, and variegated bentonite minerals;
2. According to their properties and industrial applications, they can be divided into sodium based, calcium based, and sodium calcium based, calcium sodium based bentonite ores.
3. Bentonite can be divided into two categories based on its water absorbing properties. The first category can adsorb a large amount of water and expand greatly after absorbing water. Maintain a suspended state in a thin water dispersant. This type of clay is often used as a plasticizer for ceramics. It can improve the drying strength and firing temperature of porcelain bodies and reduce adsorption. The second type of bentonite can only adsorb slightly more water than ordinary plastic clay or bleached soil, with no significant expansion, and quickly precipitates in thin water dispersants. This type of bentonite is widely used as a clarifying clay in chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries, as a decolorizing and purifying agent, as a carrier for insecticides, as well as a regulator and binder for graphite crucibles, enamel glazes, and in the manufacture of clay products for construction.

Application
Bentonite is mainly used as a thickener and anti settling agent for coatings and inks in industry.
(1) Using bentonite as a binder to form iron balls and directly placing them in the blast furnace for smelting instead of sintering can save 10% to 15% of flux and coke, and increase the blast furnace production capacity by 40% to 50%.
(2) The drilling mud prepared with sodium based bentonite has high slurry production rate and many other advantages, and is suitable for petroleum drilling, high-pressure jet wells, small-diameter drilling, and unstable formation drilling.
(3) Using sodium based bentonite as a casting sand binder can enhance the sand resistance of the molding sand and solve the problem of sand collapse.
(4) Bentonite can be used as a pesticide carrier and diluent, a purifying and decolorizing agent for oils and fats, and a clarifying and purifying agent for the brewing and sugar industries.
