Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer powder is a kind of free-flowing powder form superplasticizer, as a universal product, designed for applications of flowing mortars with universal and special cementitious binders.
Composed of polycarboxylate ether copolymer, its main chain anchors on the surface of cementitious binder particle while the unique comb structure as side chain stretches in the water.
The combination of electrostatic force and steric stretching effect imparts low water demand and high flowing ability to mortars.
Application:
(1) A kind of anionic / non-ionic liquid admixture, low-chloride, low-alkali, non-toxic, free effect on ecological environment.
(2) Polycarboxylate superplasticizer has excellent water-reducing ability. can greatly reduce slump loss.
(3) It can significantly reduce 25% ~40% mixing water in concrete.
(4) High strength enhancing ability. Better performance when used together mineral admixture.
(5) No bleeding, anti-segregation, easy to pump and transport.
(6) Good appearance of hardened concrete, without water lines, big bubbles, and color difference.
(7) High durability. polycarboxylate superplasticizer can greatly improve compactness, freeze-thaw resistance, carbonation resistance, elastic modulus and impermeability; reduce drying shrinkage and creep of concrete.
(8) A stable performance, non-precipitation.
(9) Excellent compatibility with Portland cement.
Dosage:
The dosage of polycarboxylate superplasticizer for normal strength and high strength concrete is typically 0.6%~1.2% and 1.2%~1.8% respectively, the recommended dosage for GB8076 standard test is 1.0%.
The amount of polycarboxylate superplasticizer used in concrete will be slightly adjusted depending upon job requirements, such as concrete strength, variations in cement, aggregate and other job site conditions. Experiments for appropriate dosage must be carried out when changing concrete mix proportion or materials.
Usage polycarboxylate superplasticizer can be added in concrete directly together with mixing water, or added after mixing water. Special storage and charging system are needed. Carefully clean storage, transport pipeline, dispensing equipment, and mixer.
polycarboxylate superplasticizer can not be compound with naphthalene and anthracene water reducing admixtures. Experiment must be done when polycarboxylate superplasticizer is used together with other chemical admixtures and mineral admixtures.
